@BeachBoysGuy1 Well as i said, personally i prefer the versions of this track on SS and also Wonderful & Wind Chimes.I dont mind the humourous bits as The White Album has bits like that throughout it.I like it that SS is very different from Pet Sounds.I also feel that if it was anyone's 'fault' about 'Smile' it was Brians as the too perfectionist and indecisiveness that didnt ruin Pet Sounds was part of his emerging illness.People ought to get over SMILE,it wouldnt work entirely as Brian was ill

@kenfig You are right. People love to jump on bandwagons even ehrn they don't know what the band is playing ! Smiley Smile, although silly and 'stoney' on the surface, also has it's brilliance. I listened to it over and over again when it was very difficult to find 'anything' new by the Boys. I probably learned more about harmony from this release than any other LP they ever released ...certainly up to that point. Keep the faith.

@BeachBoysGuy1 Of course ; i hate it when people make glib comments and jump to conclusions about complicated situations they hear a fraction about.This for me is the best vegetables and the work done on Smiley Smile is great although if it had contained Cabin and Surfs up only it would have been even better.Mike Loved (excuse pun) Brian but knew the score about where he was heading
